Here are some non-drama writings that I've done in the past (recent and distant). All of these stories are Copyright Tim Frankovich 2000-2002.

Christmas Evening - Pondering what it was really like...

Christian Tolerance - An essay about the founding of our nation, tolerance and Christianity.

Dating & Dragons - Boy, did I have fun with this one. This is an essay that I wrote back in Creative Writing class in college. The guys loved it. The girls... sort of didn't. Some of them, that is. Oh, just read it. You'll understand.

Vengeance is Mine - Biblical fiction set during the time of David, king of Israel. This story focuses on Abiathar, the priest who saw his entire family wiped out... (3 parts)

Elven Mysteries - Sort of a "What if?" story. A mixture of just enough truth...

These are just set up in HTML for now. If I get any requests, I might make them available for download in other formats, as well. Most of these skits have been performed (or will be performed) as part of the youth ministry of Bay Area First Baptist Church, where I teach 10th Grade Bible Study, and help out with other age groups, as well. All of these are Copyright Tim Frankovich 2000, but are free for anyone to use - just let me know about it if you do!

I Can Only Imagine - This script came about one day as I was pondering the words of the song "I Can Only Imagine" that we sing regularly in our youth department. It seemed to need an introduction. So I wrote one! (I didn't write the song. It was written by Bart Millard of the group "Mercy Me.")

The Last Enemy - Starring Death and his flunky, Ralph. What? You didn't know Death had a flunky? Well... he does. This skit helps point out not only the magnitude of people dying without Christ, but also Christ's final triumph over Death itself. The last line is an in-joke to my pastor, but it still works even without knowing that. :)

The Plan - This one needs a bit of a story to explain it. The background of this skit is over a year ago now, when we heard the news about the shooting at Wedgewood Baptist Church. The next night, I couldn't sleep. The idea of this skit kept running through my mind, so at about midnight, I got up and went to the computer. After writing it, I was able to fall right asleep. The next day, I took it to my youth minister, we talked about it, and decided we HAD to do it that Sunday morning. One quick early-morning rehearsal later, we did. And God worked. Some great things happened that morning that I will never forget.

Muhlenberg - A monologue for July 4th, given by John Peter Muhlenberg, Lutheran pastor and Major General in the Revolutionary War.

Being Right About the Resurrection - A monologue (co-written with my former pastor) about the Emmaus road experience.
