When DR. Mindbender creator the cyber vipers..his one mission alone was to have a rough, part robot part human, army. The Cyber Vipers served well until Dr. Mindbendr was thrown into a freighter and killed by Cobra Commander. The Cyber Vipers were to be liquidated immediately since Cobra Commander had no use for them. One Cyber Viper, Codenamed Boolean, was Dr. Mindbenders secret project. He was to be his ultimate Mega Marine bodyguard. Mindbender took a Highly intelligent Crimson guard and erased what memory the guy had and filled it with the knowledge of 4 of the top Cobra operatives: Storm Shadow, Firefly, Destro and Zartan. He also compressed as much computer knowledge that he could cram In the human brain. Boolean was left unfinished when Cobra Commander killed Mindbender. After an assualt on Cobra Island, An EMP device “awoke” Boolean. Memories of his life before the cybernetics started to flow into his mind. With great anger he freed himself, searching for revenge on Mindbender for what he had done to him.

After finding out that Mindbender had been killed, Boolean really didn’t have any reason to liveÉuntil he met Mercer. Mercer told him he was needed to help defeat Cobra and other threats all over the globe. Boolean agreed.

Boolean’s major flaw is that because of all the information crammed in his head, he doesn’t know who he is sometimes. Almost like schizophrenia. He has all the skills of the 4 Cobras but doesn’t really know who he is..and that bothers him immensely. He is often withdrawn and because he doesn’t quite fit in, he can become emotionally unstable. Other times he thinks just like a computer with no emotion at all.
